TWO supermarket workers proved they were close colleagues after spending the day handcuffed together.
Helen Crosby and Jackie Mallows, who work at the Asda store in Winbush Way, Darlington, raised money for breast cancer care by spending an entire shift cuffed together. The stunt was part of the store's Tickled Pink campaign, which has raised more than £1,000 for the charity.
Event co-ordinator Jane Chapman said: "They work as runners by the check-outs, so wherever one went the other had to. They made their own costumes and they've had some funny looks."
The pair raised more than £150 from sponsorship and a bucket collection.
