LIVESTOCK farmers from North Yorkshire are to show off their goods to visiting French journalists.
The trade visit has been organised as part of the local produce initiative run by North Yorkshire County Council (NYCC).
The scheme aims to develop business and an understanding of exports.
Councillor Carl Les, the county council's executive member for economic development, said: "North Yorkshire produces some of the best meat and livestock in the world.
"Following the introduction of the single farm payment, it is essential that farmers develop new market opportunities. NYCC is committed to helping the industry adapt to these new circumstances."
The French visitors will meet producers on Thursday. The group will also visit speciality farms and shops.
