PLANS to transform a derelict site into a housing estate are likely to be approved, despite objections.
Brosely Homes has applied to Easington District Council to build 75 properties on an old gravel pit and coal yard in Easington Colliery.
Residents have submitted a 40-signature petition raising concerns about increase in noise and parking problems.
However, officers have recommended that a planning meeting tomorrow grant conditional approval to amended plans for 41 detached and 34 semi-detached homes.
