A radish show by six-year-old Lauren Percival picked up first place at the annual Black Bull leek show in Wolsingham at the weekend.
The thee-kilo monster was grown by Lauren's grandfather, John Percival, and entered on her behalf by him as "a little treat".

Leeks - 1 Joan Greasley 182.28 cub ins; 2 Harry Sanderson 174.24 cub ins; 3 John Percival 125.20 cub ins. Best vegetables, Robert Greasley; best flowers, Keith Walton; heaviest onion, Robert Greasley, 3.14kg.
