DOZENS of people put on their walking boots at the weekend to take part in an event aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and to raise money to help fight heart disease.
The three-mile walk at Chester-le-Street's Riverside was organised with the help of the Durham and Chester-le-Street Lifestyle Initiative.
The route began at the Durham County Cricket Club and took in the Riverside Park, with the picturesque Lumley Castle in the background.
Money raised at the ITV Britain on the Move event will go to the British Heart Foundation. Tyne Tees cameras filmed the event, which will be broadcast on Sunday.
