ADVANCE ticket sales for a pantomime at a North-East theatre are breaking records.
Sales for Jack and the Beanstalk, at Middlesbrough Theatre, are causing a minor sensation, say officials.
Last year's production of Snow White played to 84 per cent capacity.
The show included local BBC radio presenter Matthew Davies playing his first pantomime dame.
He is back this year, again as a dame, and joining him will be Bella Emberg, well known for her appearances in The Russ Abbot Show and Eileen Pollock, who played Lilo Lil in the long running TV series Bread.
The production runs from Thursday, December 9, to Sunday, January 9. Tickets are £10 and £11, depending on the date of performance, with child discount and party rates on all performances.
