AMATEUR artists have been brushing up their skills with a series of watercolour classes.
The classes, in the Galtres Centre at Easingwold, are being run by painter Susan Neale, of Great Ouseburn.
She picked skies as her first topic and, over the next ten weeks, other subjects will include water, autumn colour, animals, buildings and Christmas cards. Each three-hour class will feature a different subject, so students are able to attend only those that interest them.
Hambleton District Council leisure officer Susan Smith said: "Susan first came to pass on her skills to us in the summer and those who attended wanted more.
"This new course is designed to be dipped in and out of - each three-hour session is self contained - although we do have people who have signed up for the whole ten weeks."
