AN out-of-hours medical service will be among the topics discussed at a meeting held by the public watchdog for heath services in Sedgefield borough.
The Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) Forum Sedgefield will be meeting in West Cornforth Community Centre next Tuesday, at 11am.
The public can attend the meeting, which will feature a representative from Sedgefield Primary Care Trust talking about the out-of-hours service.
Other subjects which may be covered include the development of health centres and integrated teams.
The PPI forums have been set up by the Government and are intended to give the public the chance to have their say in health matters.
PPI Forum Sedgefield is made up of volunteers from the Sedgefield area who are keen to help patients and the public influence the way that local health care is organised and delivered.
Spokeswoman Maxine Lee said: "Forum members come from a broad variety of backgrounds and have a range of experience and skills."
"Their aim is to help people from Sedgefield have a greater input into decisions that affect their health and the health of their local community.
