A Redcar school is to benefit from £500,000 Lottery funding to boost PE and sport.
It will pay for Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council to create a fitness suite, changing rooms, storage and reception facilities at the school.
The fitness suite will form half of a pavilion that will also house performing arts studios and performance and practice areas.
The pavilion will provide for cardiovascular and resistance training, martial arts, dance and aerobics.
The project will benefit 970 pupils, 300 from other schools, and 9,975 sessional community users.
