AN event has been organised to launch the District of Easington's 12th annual music festival.
At Dalton Park, Murton, on Thursday, caricaturist Alistair Graham will be displaying his impressions of world jazz celebrities, followed by live jazz from the Gerry Richardson Trio.
The event starts at 7pm and tickets are £2, available from the Dalton Park's At Your Service point or Easington District Council offices, Seaside Lane.
The caricatures will be on display until Saturday, October 9.
Throughout next month, east Durham residents can enjoy live acts with musical styles ranging from folk and jazz to country and western, rock'n'roll and Northern soul.
Events climax with a Diwali celebration in Peterlee.
People can also celebrate a Festival of Lights at an evening of classical dance from South India with Northern Indian instrumental music.
Performances are from Friday, October 1, to Sunday, November 7, at venues throughout Easington district.
Tickets are available from the council offices, Peterlee Information Office and performance venues.
Council chairman Bruce Burn said: "I am delighted to welcome such an amazing array of talented musicians and actors."
