A HARTLEPOOL guitarist is to perform at the Sir William Turner's Almshouses.
Gareth Proctor, 22, who took up the guitar at the age of 11, is in his final year at the Birmingham Conservatoire.
As part of his studies, he must organise and present his own concert and has chosen the almshouses at Kirkleatham as his preferred venue.
He said: "There is nowhere in better in the north of England."
Peter Sotheran, chairman of the trustees at the almshouses, said: "His choice of music is perfectly in keeping with the 17th Century setting."
The concert is on Friday, October 8, at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £6 and are available by calling (01287) 632225.
