A HOSPITAL infection control team will launch a campaign to find a town's cleanest pair of hands today.
The team will be testing people as part of Harrogate District Hospital's annual open day, which takes place today.
Visitors will be able to see more than 30 interactive displays and information stands and go on behind-the-scenes tours of a number of departments, including dermatology and radiology.
Staff in the accident and emergency department will also demonstrate measures employed in the event of a major incident, such as a chemical attack.
Event project team chairman Sandra Dodson said: "The open event is a superb opportunity to find out about services at the hospital in a relaxed and friendly environment.
"There will be a huge variety of things to see and do."
The event takes place between 4pm and 8pm in the Herriot's Restaurant at Harrogate District Hospital.
