AN artist's first North-Eastexhibition has been hailed a success.
Jenny Angold, from Westwick, Teesdale, County Durham, moved to the dale from Dorset in March.
She was delighted with the response to her exhibition, which finished this week at Witham Hall, Barnard Castle.
She said: "It is a lovely space to exhibit. It has been really successful, and I have managed to sell 14 paintings."
Mrs Angold trained at Amersham College and West Surrey College of Art and Design, and paints using pastels, watercolours and oils.
She said: "I really like colour, it is probably the reason why I paint. My work is quite modern and when I paint, I like to push the colour beyond what is there.
"Teesdale is very different to what I have painted in the coastal areas of Dorset. With its moors and fells, as a landscape artist, I do find it more exciting."
Mrs Angold hopes to exhibit again next year at Witham Hall and at local shows.
