A FLAGSHIP arts complex has reopened after damage to its roof.
The Baltic Centre, in Gateshead, closed to visitors on Monday afternoon when high winds lifted aluminium plates on the roof of its single-storey Riverside Building.
Workers secured the plates and yesterday morning, the £46m complex, in the former Baltic Flour Mill, reopened.
A centre spokeswoman said: "It is now considered safe and we have reopened. Everything is up and running as normal."
