YORKSHIRE Forward and One NorthEast have each given £2,000 to support this year's Great North Meet.
Both will have staff at the event to explain to farmers and rural professionals how they deliver policy.
"In future, the majority of European policy will be implemented at a regional level so it is imperative that the RDAs and rural communities have the opportunity to create closer links," said Rhiannon Davies, organiser of the Royal Agricultural Society of England event.
The meet, sponsored by the Royal Bank of Scotland, is on October 29 at Camphill, Kirklington, near Bedale. Tickets, £65 are available from the web site www.greatnorthmeet.co.uk or from 024 7685 8252 .
This year Sir Ben Gill, former NFU president, will give the keynote opening speech and Andy Tordoff of Yorkshire Forward will talk about regional policy.
Other speakers include Sir John Harman of the Environment Agency; Prof David Bellamy; Richard Betton of the NFU and George Dunn, of the Tenant Farmers' Association.
The afternoon session features Judy Bell of Shepherd Purse Cheeses; Henry Fell of Meatlinc and Jim Mc- Robert.
