OLD crop feed wheat prices have remained below £60. There is some export trade at the moment but we have to compete with what is predicted to be a record maize crop in both Europe and US.
The value of soft biscuit wheat keeps going up, as local domestic availability is very low.As mentioned before, I would be very careful selling quality this year unless you are sure of what you have.
Oilseed prices have fallen as estimates of the EU harvest increase and we will face stiff opposition in the export market from both Canada and Australia. These markets will, however, remain volatile, depending on US soya harvest.
