BIG-hearted street wardens would give the shirts off their own backs to help a charitable cause - and this week they went a bit further and bared almost all for charity.
The wardens slipped out of their green uniforms at the Parkway Social Club, Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough, on Thursday, as part of their version of the Full Monty, to raise funds for paralysed teenager Daniel Woodhouse, who needs round-the-clock specialist help.
The wardens - Col Rodham, Chris Beavan, Martin Craddy, Mark O'Hagan, Sean Hatton and Michael Crosby - have helped to raise £5,000, with Daniel's friends at Newlands School and St Mary's Sixth Form College, but this was their most daring feat to date.
They received expert choreography coaching from fellow warden and trained choreographer Rebecca Crosby.
The man behind the stunt, wardens' operational manager Chris Crick, said: "Rebecca has done a great job sorting the dance routine out and over the last few weeks, they've really got their act together."
