AMATEUR actors are taking to the stage next week to entertain audiences with a series of one-act plays.
The Sedgefield Players will be staging nine mini-productions over the five-day Sedgefield Drama Festival, running from Tuesday until next Saturday.
Performances will start at 7.30pm each day and include The Proposal, by Anton Chekhov, and That's The Way To Do It, by Alan Butler. Saturday's show will be followed a buffet dinner and party.
Katy Banner, Sedgefield Players' group co-ordinator, said: "This event highlights the high quality of performers that we have in the area."
