A SCHOOL'S basketball team were the sporting stars of a presentation evening celebrating a year of high achievement.
The basketball squad at Wolsingham School and Community College was named team of the year for their success in winning the English Schools' Under-19 title, even though their gym is too small to play home games. They were presented with the first Alan Turnbull Award, donated in memory of a former teacher.
One of the team, Christopher Stappard, was singled out for the Headteacher's Prize for his all-round achievement.
The Governors' Prize was shared by sixth-former Anna Donaghy and Hannah Dalton.
Four musicians reached the regional talentSTAR final.
