YOUNGSTERS at a Teesdale primary school served parents and relatives at a coffee morning to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief.
The children, in the reception class at Startforth Morritt Primary School, joined in with the World's Biggest Coffee Morning appeal on Friday.
The idea came about because children had been reading Little Bear and Me, a story where friends gather together to help a friend who is ill.
Teacher Julie Meban said: "We thought it would be a good idea for the children to do something to help people who are ill. They've really enjoyed it, they've been amazing and very helpful.
