WILDLIFE in the Yorkshire Dales will feature in a new BBC TV series presented by Alan Titchmarsh.
British Isles: A Natural History examines the evolution of the UK. The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority was invited to take part because of its efforts to protect the landscape and wildlife.
On November 3, ecologist Tim Thom will feature in a programme on how nature has reclaimed industrialised sites such as the Hoffman lime kiln at Langcliffe near Settle.
On November 10, project officer Louise Williams will explain how a scheme to introduce traditional breeds of cattle into the Dales is helping to save the flora and fauna.
