AN appeal has gone out to trace the relatives of a North-East man.
Jack Rodgers, of Scotland, is hoping to trace descendants of William Sewell, born in April 1894 in Humshaugh, Northumberland.
Mr Sewell was the son of Joseph Noble Sewell and Annie Telford or Tailford.
William Sewell was last known to have lived in Gainford, near Darlington, in 1922.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Mr Rodgers, at Awali Cottage, Cruide Farm, Arbirlot-by-Arbroath, DD11 2NR.

* Henry Dinsdale, of Darlington. Mr Dinsdale is hoping to trace his old school friend, Brian Raine.
They were in the same class at Beechwood Secondary School in 1946. Mr Raine then moved to Burdon Terrace in Jesmond, Newcastle.

* John Waitey, of Yarm. Mr Waitey is hoping to get in touch with his old friend, Veronica Morgan, who used to live in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, but is believed to have moved to Darlington.

* Ken Bell of Billingham. Ken is searching for his old friend, June Briarwood, who was originally from Hind Street, Stockton and whom he has not seen for 20 years.

* Ian Turpie of Morayshire. Mr Turpie is trying to trace his lost relatives, Joseph Carr and Cynthia Carr, who are possibly in their 50s or 60s.
Their last known address was 62 Northumberland Street, Horden, Peterlee.
Their mother was called Elizabeth, but she was known as Liz, and she came from Scotland.
Their father is believed to have been a miner from County Durham.
