A FUN day is being held this weekend in Teesdale to showcase projects being carried out by community groups.
The Mid-Teesdale Project partnership is organising the fun day on Sunday to show off projects that groups within the organisation are involved in.
At 2pm, in Mickleton Village Hall, a treasure hunt has been organised, which can be carried out in cars or on foot.
There will also be displays of dry stone walling at the Mickleton play area, and young people will be asked to vote for the equipment they would most like to see in the play area, in the event of any future refurbishment.
The local beat officer will meet people, and walks are being organised at 2.15pm with Romaldkirk Ward Walking Group.
There will be free tea at 5pm, and the partnership's annual meeting.
This will be followed by a walk with Durham County Council countryside rangers and the Trees for Cotherstone Group, looking at bats and trees in the area.
From 2.30pm to 4.30pm, Romaldkirk Reading Rooms and Old School will be open with displays and quizzes, and an exhibition showing the work of entrants in the children's autumn collage competition.
Also from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, Carlbeck School, in Lunedale, will be open, and the community association will be offering refreshments, bric-a-brac and a chance to see old school photos.
