A YOUTH football team has been provided with a new kit thanks to the generosity of the District of Easington Community Safety Partnership.
The Partnership, which brings together key public organisations, places a high priority on supporting young people and has now agreed to sponsor the Peterlee PRIDE Youth Project football team on the town's Edenhill estate.
The kit, features the Partnership's CSP logo and the words "making a difference".
Geoff Lodge, from the Community Safety Partnership, said: "The Partnership is pleased to be able to provide this new kit for the PRIDE Youth Project football team.
"It fits with our aim of encouraging and supporting young people to become involved in positive team building activities.''
Tracey Graham Smith, from the PRIDE project, said: "The young people on Edenhill are keen football players and it is good that, thanks to the Partnership, they have new kit to start the new season which begins on October 2."
