BIG-HEARTED volunteers are needed to abseil from a North-East landmark for charity.
Marie Curie Cancer Care is seeking individuals or groups of people to take part in its Tyne Bridge Abseil next month.
Participants will be given expert advice before making the 60ft plunge attached to a harness, from the Gateshead side of the River Tyne.
Marie Curie's regional community fundraising manager, Linda McDonough, said: "This is a challenging event that is not only going to be a great experience for our supporters, but is also a wonderful way to get involved with fundraising for the charity."
Proceeds will help support Marie Curie's nursing care for cancer patients who remain at home through their illness.
To take part in the abseil, call 0191-382 3311.
