SUMMER is coming to an end for the Moorsbus.
The last weekday services of the Moorsbus Network run tomorrow, having operated every day since June 1. Sunday services continue to the end of October.
The buses provide an easy way for visitors to get around the North York Moors.
Bill Breakell, the national park's tourism and transport officer, said: "It was a bold move to double the days of operation this year, and we feel that, overall, it has worked well. We decided to increase the services following many requests for buses to run on weekdays outside the school holidays. But we know that not everything has been perfect and we're working hard to ensure that in 2005, we've got an even better service."
Due to a car rally in Dalby Forest this Sunday, Moorsbus service M6 will provide a link from Thornton-le-Dale and Pickering to villages such as Lastingham, Spaunton and Hutton le Hole, instead of it travelling through the forest. Timetables are available from information centres, or on www.moorsbus.net
