THREE regulars at the Ship Inn, Middlestone Village - Doug Charlton, Nova Reeves and Clare Mitchell - raised £1,500 for Breast Cancer Care after taking part in the Great North Run.
The trio, who completed the run in two and a half hours, were supported by a race night, car boot sales, and a pie and peas supper, with the food donated by local businesses.
Clare said: "My best friend had breast cancer and members of my family also, so we chose this charity, as we all thought they do a fantastic job.
She added: "We've all got sore feet and aching muscles but already we are planning to run again next year."
