VISUALLY-impaired archers from across the region have been taking part in a tournament.
During the event, held at Gilesgate Sport College in Durham City, the region's best archers competed against each other, but there was also a chance for people who had never tried archery to give the sport a go.
The event was organised by Sandra Nesbitt, of the Durham and Northumberland Archery Association, with financial help from the English Federation of Disability Sport and energy company npower, as part of its Active programme.
She said: "As a visually impaired archer, I have organised this event to try and promote this exciting sport and boost the numbers of competitors in the North-East."
Gary Doig, npower's community relations manager for the North-East, said: "This was a great opportunity for people with physical or sensory impairments to come along and try something different under the guidance of experienced coaches."
