RESIDENTS and traders are invited to a public meeting to help decide how their town centre will look in the future.
People in Spennymoor are being consulted over plans for artwork and landscaping of the town as part of a massive regeneration scheme.
A representative from the Arts Council will be at Spennymoor Town Hall today, from 4.30pm until 6.30pm, hoping to get ideas and inspiration for pieces of public art from local people.
Plans for the landscaping around Spennymoor town centre, part of a multi-million pound street improvement scheme, will be on view in the town hall at the same time.
The work will compliment a major facelift for the town carried out by Sedgefield Borough Council, with funding from other councils and regeneration agency One NorthEast.
Town centre manager Wendy Benson said: "Public and businesses are welcome to view and comment on the proposals.
"We will be looking at some of the smaller finishing touches and tweaking plans and want local views at every stage."
