A ROADSHOW campaigning for a Yes vote in the referendum will be held in the North-East over the next few weeks.
The Yes 4 the North-East exhibition trailer will visit sites across the region until referendum day on November 4. It will be staffed by local supporters and some of the campaign's more high-profile figures.
Professor John Tomaney, chairman of Yes 4 the North-East campaign, said: "It is important that in the run-up to the referendum, the people of the North-East have all the information they need to help them make this vital decision about the future of the region. We believe an elected regional assembly will have enormous benefits, and we are more than happy to discuss these benefits, along with any other questions people may have, at our roadshows."
The roadshow will be at Speculation Place, Washington, Wearside, on Monday, then in Sunderland's High Street West on Tuesday, Newcastle's Haymarket on Wednesday, Church Street, in Seaham, on Thursday and at the Houghton Feast event, in Houghton-le-Spring, on Friday.
The following week, the roadshow will be in Gilkes Street, Middlesbrough, on Monday, October 11, followed by Villiers Street, Hartlepool, on the Wednesday.
