Connections of dual Guineas winner Attraction are keeping their fingers crossed that the weather at Newmarket improves.
The three-year-old filly is due to tackle the Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes tomorrow but after three millimetres of rain yesterday the ground has eased to good, good to firm in places.
''I don't like the look of the sky at the moment. We want sunshine and wind so let's hope the sun breaks through soon,'' said trainer Mark Johnston's wife, Deirdre.
''She looks in great form, she's very well. If the ground is right for her I am sure she will run well.
''The forecast does not seem that bad so let's just hope there's no more rain.''
Attraction won both the English and Irish 1000 Guineas as well as the Coronation Stakes, but she has not won since that race at Royal Ascot.
The daughter of Efisio found Soviet Song too good in both the Falmouth Stakes and the Matron Stakes, while she flopped on unsuitable ground in the Prix Jacques le Marois.
Attraction is one of five runners declared for the race with Celebration Mile winner Chic looking her main rival.
The Sir Michael Stoute-trained four-year-old will be bidding for a first victory at the highest level.
Andre Fabre sends last year's Prix du Moulin winner Nebraska Tornado over from France and a good run could see her head for the Breeders' Cup meeting next month.
Mick Channon's Majestic Desert and the Dermot Weld-trained Miss Mambo complete the line-up for the £200,000 race.
Phantom Wind and Red Feather were the only withdrawals at yesterday's final 48-hour declaration stage.
* Robert Winston enjoyed an unexpected day to remember when 40-1 chance Magical Romance dented some tall reputations in the Skybet Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket yesterday.
The 24-year-old northern-based freelance stepped in for the ride on the Brian Meehan-trained filly when intended rider Jimmy Fortune was forced on the sidelines after receiving a kick at Salisbury 24 hours earlier.
Winston enjoyed a pay-day he will not forget when the daughter of Barathea knuckled down bravely in the final stages to edge out the previously unbeaten pair, Suez and Damson.
