A FORKLIFT truck driver admitted giving the keys of his former property to someone else so they could burgle it.
Grant Royal, 28, of Oak Terrace, Spennymoor, pleaded guilty to burglary at Darlington Magistrates' Court yesterday.
Derek Walton, prosecuting, said he was aiding and abetting the burglar.
Mike Clarke, for Royal, said: "There was a bond outstanding so he handed over the keys.
"He knew why they were going to be borrowed.
"They were going to be borrowed by someone else and at no stage did he enter the property."
Magistrates adjourned the case for the preparation of pre-sentence reports.
Royal will appear at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court on October 21.
Unconditional bail was extended.
