AN on-loan exclusive display of Hollywood film costumes was the highlight of the show at an annual textile art show.
The display, Royal Connections, was premiered at the Great Yorkshire Showground, in Harrogate, as part of the 2004 Fashion and Embroidery Show yesterday.
Outfits worn by Cate Blanchett, Helen Mirren, Kathy Burke and Sean Connery in films including Elizabeth, The Madness of King George and Robin Hood Prince of Thieves were on show.
The event, organised by International Craft and Hobby Fair Limited, is now in its 15th year. It attracted a record number of exhibitors.
Simon Burns, head of marketing, said: "Harrogate has always been a very popular show and this year was our largest. The variety of exhibitors offered visitors to the show a huge choice, allowing them in just one visit to learn all about new textile techniques.
"This is definitely one of the most exciting shows we have brought to Harrogate."
