TWO Spanish visitors to the North-East proved Good Samaritans when they came across a fire-hit car after a two-vehicle accident.
They helped rescue the female driver of a Ford Fiesta, which ignited after a collision with a Nissan Micra.
Firefighters reached the scene, in Stella Road, Ryton, near Gateshead, and administered oxygen to the Fiesta driver until an ambulance arrived to take her to Newcastle General Hospital suffering back, neck and chest pains.
The Micra driver was not believed to be injured in the accident, shortly before 7pm on Saturday.
