TWO leisure complexes have benefited from a £68,000 transformation that has improved their indoor sports facilities.
The sports hall floors at Spennymoor and Ferryhill leisure centres have been refurbished by Sedgefield Borough Council.
Spennymoor's sports hall has an elastic sprung floor with an energy-absorbing support system, built to Sport England specifications to reduce the risk of injury.
It is hoped the improvements will create interest in sports such as basketball and volleyball, and support popular activities including football, netball and badminton.
