DO they not like that! A team of pampered celebs found out how it feels to be put through a gruelling session at a North-East training camp yesterday.
Former national boss Graham Taylor led the stars through a punishing regime on their first day of training for Sky One's The Match.
One member of the football squad will be booted out each day of the reality TV series, which was screened for the first time last night, before next Sunday's crunch match with a legends Xl.
The celebs will have to be on top form against a team that includes Peter Beardsley, Paul Gascoigne, Bryan Robson, Mark Lawrenson, Chris Waddle and Ian Wright.
If they expected to get an easy ride from the former Watford and Aston Villa manager they were disappointed.
An hour into the session, the stars were feeling the pace after being forced to do shuttle runs, press-ups, squat thrusts and star jumps.
Royle Family star Ralf Little, singer Jonathan Wilkes, Footballers' Wives heart-throb Gary Lucy, Corrie's Thomas Craig, George Best's son Callum and So Solid Crew's MC Harvey were left looking exhausted.
An insider said: "Graham Taylor isn't going to be giving these lads an easy time.
"As far as he is concerned, they are there to train and train hard.
"The stars taking part in the show are all useful footballers but they have never known how it feels to be trained by a top coach."
Fans gathered in the rain to watch through the fence at Newcastle United's Benton training ground.
Amy Armstrong, 16, and her pals were shocked by Taylor's tough tactics.
Amy, from Gateshead, said: "He was really shouting at them as though they were a Premiership football team.
"Gary Lucy's lovely but he was looking as though he was feeling the pain during the stretching. After a week of that kind of treatment they will run circles around the ex footballers' team because they will be so fit."
It is expected there will be a bumper crown when the match is played at Newcastle's St James' Park.
