Hartlepool families are being encouraged to visit libraries as part of Family Learning Week next week.
Libraries in Hartlepool are taking part with events suitable for all the family, including quizzes about different decades, and opportunities to try crafts including clippy mat making.
The Hartlepool Family Learning Week events, which are all free, include: Monday, October 11: Central library, 4pm to 5pm, The Roman Experience. Foggy Furze Library, 5pm to 6pm, quizzes and activities about the 1940s. Tuesday, October 12: Central library, 4pm to 5pm, decoupage session. Headland library, 5pm to 6pm, 1930s event.
Wednesday, October 13: Central library, 4pm to 5pm, learn about the bombardment of Hartlepool in the First World War. Seaton Carew library, 5pm to 6pm, 1950s event. Throston Grange library, 5.30pm to 6.30pm, a 1910 quiz. Thursday, October 14: Central library, 4pm to 5pm, craft session. West View library, 5pm to 6pm, a 1920s quiz. Friday, October 15: Owton Manor library, 5pm to 6pm, a 1960s quiz.
