HARVEST festival fare was delivered to the community by children from Barnard Castle School yesterday.
The prep school pupils gave fruit and vegetables to the Salvation Army's Tom Raine Centre, in Darlington.
They also delivered flowers with hand-made cards to elderly residents of Barnard Castle.
A collection of several hundred pounds was also donated to Water Aid.
Barnard Castle School chaplain Stephen Ridley said: "Every year, the children bring in a lot of produce and the prep school makes individual cards for the flowers. People absolutely love them."
