SCHOOL pupils dressed in costumes on the theme of water for a charity day.
The pupils, from Ingleby Mill Primary School, Ingleby Barwick, near Stockton, raised more than £500 for WaterAid.
The youngsters also met their MP, Dari Taylor, who said she was moved by the pupils' concerns for fellow children across the world.
All of the 600 pupils were asked to donate £1 for the non-uniform day, which will go towards bringing fresh water to people in Ghana and India who have to walk miles to collect often infected water.
Ms Taylor said: "Having visited India twice, I am well aware of the effect that this has on people's lives."
