A VAN driver was injured yesterday when he tried to stop a gang stealing parcels.
Six men struck at 3.40pm, in Allendale Road, Ormesby, Middlesbrough, and began intimidating the driver after pulling up on two motorcycles. They ripped open the rear doors of his van and began grabbing parcels.
When the driver attempted to stop them, he was attacked and suffered an injury to his leg, a police spokesman said.
As officers arrived, the gang, who were not wearing crash helmets, rode off, three on each motorbike.
