A WOMAN had a miraculous escape when she crawled unhurt from a car following an accident yesterday.
To add to her luck the crash, at Folly Top, near Barnard Castle, County Durham, was discovered by a passing ambulance.
Fortunately, the woman did not need any treatment after the black Vauxhall Corsa overturned at 10.30am.
Sergeant Bill Dutton, of Barnard Castle police, said: "The woman was fortunate there were no injuries.
"There was just the one vehicle involved, it seems to have left the road possibly due to the conditions which were wet."
The stretch of road is a notorious accident blackspot.
In July last year a 35-year-old man was killed after a collision with another car and in August 2001, a 17-year-old girl was killed when the car she was in collided with a dry-stone wall.
