TWO men have been charged in connection with an alleged brawl outside a shopping centre that left three men with stab wounds.
The incident took place in the Greenmarket and Clayton Street, next to Eldon Square, in Newcastle city centre, on September 27.
Three local men, aged 31, 33 and 39, were taken to hospital and treated for knife wounds, then discharged.
Robert Dunwiddie, 40, from the Fenham area of Newcastle, has been charged with wounding and will appear at Newcastle Magistrates' Court on Friday.
Joseph Montgomery, 31, of Belgrave Parade, Elswick, Newcastle, appeared at the same court to answer the same charge on Monday.
Both men have been remanded in custody.
Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone who was in the Clayton Street area at about 11.15am on September 27, is asked to call 0191-214 6555, extension 62510.
