A SUPERMARKET chain is running a series of promotions this month to raise awareness of goods made in the North-East.
Asda will sell produce including organic milk from Teesside and spice cakes from Bishop Auckland, bacon and sausage from West Auckland and Donnington's Ice Cream from Northumberland.
Other goods include spring and sparking water, Tyne brand meals, pickled onions, pies, wines and new beers from the Federation Brewery.
Starting next week, there will be free sampling in the stores across the Tees Valley.
There will be a free competition to win a hamper of local lines and each store will have its own entertainment.
