POLICE have released an e-fit of a man wanted for questioning after a serious sexual assault.
A woman in her 30s was attacked in her home in the King Edwards Drive area of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, at about 3.30pm last Monday.
Police say the woman was approached near the post office by a man in a mustard-yellow car, who asked her if she wanted a lift home.
"She declined and he then made indecent remarks to her," a spokesman said.
"The woman ran to her home in the King Edwards Drive area but was apparently followed by the same man into her home and then subjected to a serious sexual assault."
The man is described as in his 40s, slightly overweight, with straight, collar-length hair.
He was wearing spectacles, a purple short-sleeved shirt, mid-grey tracksuit bottoms, black slip-on shoes and no socks. The man is believed to be a smoker.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on (01423) 539334 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
