A TEENAGE motorcycle trials rider has been named junior champion of Europe after winning two out of three competitions this year.
Becky Rennison, 15, from Morton-on-Swale, near Northallerton, North Yorkshire, was also placed 20th in the world championships.
She competes in the European international class, which has 12 members aged between 13 and 22, competing over three rounds.
Becky came third in the French round in July, won the British round in August and, at the end of September, took the Spanish title to be crowned champion.
She also competed in the world championships while she was in Spain, coming 20th and 23rd in the two rounds out of a field of 36.
Her mother, Karen, said: "It was the first time she had been in the world championships, so she was very pleased to come where she did.
"Next year in the Europeans, she will enter the full competition with the older girls. I think she is ready to have a go at something a bit harder and she is looking forward to it already."
