PARENTS and teachers have been dressing up to help pupils raise money to replace outdoor play equipment stolen from their school.
The 400 pupils at Ormesby Primary School, near Middlesbrough, took part in sponsored events this week including a sponsored obstacle course, aerobics session and ball skills.
Yesterday, members of the PTA and two school administrators joined lunchtime supervisors and dressed up as characters including Harry Potter and Batman to serve school dinners.
Parent Kim Blair received match funding from Barclaycard for becoming a dinner lady for the day.
Headteacher Tracy Clarvis has already collected more than £600 and said the pupils had great fun.
She said: "When they went out the day after the equipment was stolen they were devastated and couldn't understand why somebody would want to take their play equipment.
"That feeling ran through the school and the older children have been very keen to help."
