TWO youngsters tied for the top spot at Thirsk's Tadpole swimming gala.
Sarah Lacy, nine, and Glen Ient, eight, shared the honours in the gala. The pair took lessons at the town's swimming pool and now train with Thirsk White Horse Swim Team.
The club organises the bi-annual Tadpole Galas for under-nines to allow all club swimmers to have a go at competition without the pressures of swimming against other clubs and leagues.
Sarah and Glen took the most points during the day.
Fellow swimmer Penny Bush, aged eight, who had lessons with Glen and Sarah, took one of the top spots in the butterfly competition.
