YOUNGSTERS unveiled a banner created to bring their views of the world into a newly-refurbished community centre.
Children who attended a summer activity programme at Tow Law Community Centre visited Tow Law Millennium Green and walked around the village to discover plants and creatures in their surrounding area.
Using silk painting, clay modelling, mosaic and glass painting, they created the giant banner.
The display is on show in the community centre, which reopened in April after a £480,000 revamp.
Susan Rose, of environment agency Groundwork West Durham, said: "The children were a fantastic group to work with and have done some tremendous artwork.
"It's great that they have had the opportunity to make their own contribution to the new community centre."
The project was ran by the Tow Law Partnership and Groundwork, with funding from the Local Network Fund, Tow Law Community Centre and Better Play.
