PRIMARY school pupils will take part in a two-day netball festival next week.
About 220 children are expected to take part in the event, organised by Wear Valley School Sports Co-ordinator Partnership on Wednesday and Thursday.
On Wednesday, teams of five from the Crook and Willington area will compete in a tournament at Crook Primary, from 1.30pm.
On Thursday, Bishop Barrington Comprehensive, Bishop Auckland, is the venue for the competition for the Bishop Auckland Schools.
School sports co-ordinator Garry Purcell said: " This will give many of the children the first chance to play in a competitive situation."
