RESIDENTS are being warned to be on their guard after a householder discovered trees in her garden had been cut without her permission.
Two men called at an address in Laurel Road, Primrose Hill, Stockton, and carried out the work before demanding £100.
After a heated discussion, she gave them £60 and they left, but later returned demanding the extra £40.
The men left after the woman said she did not have any more money and they were seen driving off in a white Transit van.
